Ohio Needs MHFA:
Advocate to Bring It Back!

The Ohio Department of Behavioral Health has removed MHFA training from its budget, ending five years of vital support.

Why It Matters- The Demand is Still Growing Even After 38,000 Trained

→Our teen programs are at full capacity.
→ Over 70 organizations/3500 people are on a waiting list for training.
→ We have funding for only 5 out of 88 Ohio counties.

What’s at Risk
We lose momentum in building a statewide network of trained mental health responders who know what to say and do when someone is struggling.

A Path Forward
We respectfully ask DBH to find discretionary funding so we can continue serving those who need MHFA most.
